Event details
In the UK it is estimated that around four million households are in fuel poverty. Studies show that cold homes not only caused a reported 10,000 deaths last year, they also have a profound impact on NHS admissions. Cold homes are widely documented to aggravate and worsen a range of serious health conditions as well as having a detrimental impact on an individual's mental health.
Join Switchee’s CEO Tom Robins alongside Adam Scorer (Chief Executive, NEA) and Ben Morris (Data Lead, Switchee) as they discuss the state of fuel poverty across the UK, key learnings from the Housing Fuel Poverty Index (HFPI) and what the benefits of increasing visibility of the prevalence of fuel poverty will lead to for UK social housing residents.
The Housing Fuel Poverty Index (HFPI), powered by Switchee, is available to view in real-time on the Switchee website.
